Sheryl Underwood is a American comedian, host of a TV show and actress who is popular for hosting the popular daily talk show The Talk. Born in Arkansas she was raised within Little Rock and Atwater. Sheryl is part of a clan with a number of problems. She spent the majority of her youth taking care of her sick sister Frankie. When she was growing up, Sheryl was plagued by problems with her mom. Sheryl states that in one instance her mother stabbed her father due to him having a relationship with her. Sheryl entered the military following her graduation from college. Sheryl's interest in comedy was more pronounced. She was the first woman to be a finalist in the contest Miller Lite Comedy Search held in 1989. Her TV career began in 1992 with her appearance on the HBO comedy show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000 she hosted The show Oh Drama! Since 2011, she has been hosting as a co-host of the talk show The Talk. She has played in fictional show including Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
