She won the contest by beating every competitor. In June 1985, Miss Georgia was to be named after her. Mohr also took home the title on June 22nd, 1985. Mohr was later selected to represent Georgia in the Miss America 1986 pageant in Atlantic City, New Jersey during September of 1985 in the wake of her win. In spite of her success Mohr did not finish in the Top 10 for national title.
