One of her most well-known roles was the role of Emily Hartley in the TV series The Bob Newhart Show from 1972 to 1978. In 1989 Pleshette starred as Christine Broderick in the series Nightingales. From 1994 until 1995 she was Jackie Hansen's role on The Boys Are Back. Pleshette was frequent on the TV show Suzanne Pleshette. Her characters included Maggie Briggs (Good Morning, Miami), 8 Simple Rules and Will & Grace. She was also a part of The Geisha Boy and The Birds. She was nominated for an Annie Award for her singing in The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. Pleshette received nominations for two Golden Globe Awards.
