Rubi Rose Benton was born the 2nd of October 1997, in Lexington, Kentucky, where she was also raised, by Nardos Ghebrelul her mother, who is an Eritrean immigrant dentist who was raised in Ethiopia and John Benton, her father, who is an attorney with Japanese, African American and European descent. Her father was adopted. She has an older sister who is named Scarlette and one younger sister called Coral. (2) She was baptized as an Orthodox Christian as a child. [better source needed] She spent a year in Geneva, Switzerland. Then she moved to Atlanta, Georgia in her senior year in high school. She was a student at Brookwood High School in Snellville, Georgia and ran track. She studied political science at Georgia State University. She discovered Marvin Gaye's music and sounds of Biggie, Prince, Michael Jackson and Chaka Khan. Megan Thee Stallion and Nicki Minaj are among her idols. Rose became famous as the main model for hip-hop group Migos in their music video for the song "Bad and Boujee". Rose began appearing regularly on Twitch streams around this time with East Coast hip hop commentator DJ Akademiks. The music career of Rose began in September 2018 , when she released her remix of the track "On the Top" and was produced by Playboi. Her single "Big Mouth" became a big hit in the beginning of 2019, and she continued to do well in the year ahead. Rose made a cameo appearance in American rapper Cardi B's music video for her single "WAP" The song was released on August 7, 2020. In the year 2019 she was signed by A&R Chris Turner to LA Reid's record label Hitco Entertainment. Rubi is also well recognized for her high-profile relationships. She has been with Travis Scott and Playboi Cari along with Ian Connor, 21 Savage and Soulja Boy. She is currently single.
